Six years ago I wrote my first production Java service. Since then I've been deep in backend fintech — four years at Guidewire building a localized insurance platform for APAC, and now working on Mastercard's payment processor at Endava. The kind of software where nobody notices when it works.
The work I'm proudest of tends to be unglamorous: APIs that are easy to reason about, services that don't fall over, codebases the next team can actually navigate. I've led a team through a full release cycle and mentored engineers along the way. I write things down.
